A booth-level officer, Namita Hansda, died from a brain stroke in West Bengal, allegedly due to extreme work-related stress during the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Her husband linked her death to the pressure of meeting targets. District officials cited medical reasons for her death. A workers' group has demanded compensation for her family, urging the Election Commission to provide support.
