CBSE doesn’t expect more than 40% Class 10 students to appear for 2nd optional exam
The CBSE anticipates that only 40% of Class 10 students will opt for the optional May exams following the first mandatory exam in mid-February. Students absent from three subjects in the first exam will be ineligible for the second. This change aligns with the National Education Policy 2020, reducing the pressure of board exams for approximately 2.6 million students.
