Passengers struggling to board a Bihar-bound train amid the heavy rush for the Chhath Puja festival, at New Delhi Railway Station

Indian Railways has enhanced arrangements for the Chhath Puja, with mini control rooms at major stations and the broadcast of devotional songs to elevate the festive spirit. Over 12,000 special trains have been added to accommodate the surge in passengers traveling for the four-day festival, which runs from October 25-28, 2025.
