The India Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands due to a cyclonic circulation forming over the Bay of Bengal, expected to intensify from November 21, with rainfall of 07-20 cm predicted. Fishermen and tourists are advised to avoid the sea, as rough conditions may occur. The cyclone, if formed, will be named 'Senyar.'
