ECI not at fault if SIR’s aim same in all Bihar seats: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court upheld the Election Commission of India's (ECI) authority to conduct a special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, stating it is justified if the reasons are common across constituencies. Petitioners argued the SIR is unconstitutional, claiming it improperly assesses voter citizenship. The court continues to evaluate the matter, with further hearings scheduled.
