Former Manipur police officer shot dead by son; accused later dies by suicide

A retired Manipur Police Service officer was shot dead by his 25-year-old son, who subsequently committed suicide, in Imphal West on Friday. The incident occurred around 1:30 pm, with the father succumbing to his injuries at a local hospital. Police are investigating the motives behind the tragic events, and both bodies have been sent for autopsy.
