Gujarat electoral rolls likely to decrease by 14.5% after SIR

The electoral roll in Gujarat may decrease by approximately 14.5%, from 50.8 million to 43.4 million, following a special intensive revision by the Election Commission. Urban districts like Surat and Ahmedabad face the highest potential deletions, while rural areas like Dang show lesser impacts. Voter verification will continue until January 2026, with final rolls published on February 17, 2026.
