Indian cyber agency flags WhatsApp 'hijack'

CERT-In has identified a critical vulnerability in WhatsApp's "device-linking" feature, dubbed "GhostPairing," allowing attackers to seize control of accounts without authentication. Cybercriminals exploit this flaw by tricking users into revealing their phone numbers via fake messages. Users are advised to avoid suspicious links and refrain from entering personal information on external sites.
