A tattoo artist, Robin John, was arrested for allegedly threatening a man with a revolver following a road accident in Muttathara. After a dispute with the occupants of another vehicle, John reportedly pointed the weapon at Nasumudeen. Police have charged him with attempted murder and illegal possession of arms, and an investigation is ongoing.
