In Assam's Kokrajhar district, a Maoist leader linked to a recent IED blast was killed in a police encounter. Ipil Murmu, involved in prior criminal activities, sustained injuries during the shootout and later died. Police recovered firearms and are searching for other suspects, as investigations reveal Murmu aimed to disrupt railway infrastructure in the region.
