Mathura: Banke Bihari temple's treasury room opens after 54 years
The 'Toshkhana' of the Banke Bihari temple in Mathura, locked since 1971, was opened following a Supreme Court order. The opening, supervised by a civil judge and a committee, revealed brass and wooden items but no precious metals. The Goswami community opposed the move, arguing the committee's focus should be on facilitating worship, not opening the room.
