Odisha launches pre-test for Census 2027 house listing exercise

The Directorate of Census Operations, Odisha, has initiated a pre-test for the house listing and housing census in four areas, running until November 30. This preparatory phase, part of the 2027 Census of India, involves enumerators visiting households to gather housing data. The main census is expected to commence in April or May 2026.
