Over 1,100 infiltration attempts, 2500 arrests on India-Bangladesh border in 2025: Govt

The India-Bangladesh border experienced 1,104 infiltration attempts and 2,556 arrests from January to November 2025, marking the highest figures among Indian borders. Minister Nityanand Rai reported that 79.08% of this border is fenced. Since 2014, over 8,500 attempts and 20,800 arrests have occurred across all borders, with Bangladesh accounting for the majority.
