Police in Ahmedabad's Sola area have detained 17 Bangladeshi women living illegally, allegedly involved in activities ranging from domestic work to potential involvement in a flesh trade racket. The women, aged 21 to 49, were found with documents confirming their identity. Following investigation, they may face legal action or deportation. Five landlords were also charged for not verifying tenant identities.
