Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticized the Congress party for opposing the new Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (VB-G RAM G Act), claiming they are politically motivated and have previously undermined MGNREGA. He defended the new scheme as empowering local governance and enhancing employment opportunities, while Congress plans a nationwide protest starting January 5, 2026.
