The Supreme Court has ordered the Election Commission of India to respond by December 1 to petitions challenging the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal, amid claims of pressure on Booth Level Officers. The court will also hear the Kerala government's request to defer the SIR due to local polls.
