SIR deletions: Kolkata may bear max impact

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of West Bengal's electoral rolls may eliminate approximately 5.82 million names, with Kolkata's constituencies facing the highest deletions. The draft roll is set for publication on Tuesday, while the final roll will be released in February 2026. The SIR aims to address discrepancies, including deaths and duplicate voters, in a state with 76.64 million electors.
