A Gujarat forest officer, Sonal Solanki, was critically injured by a gunshot in her car in Surat's Kamrej taluka, with her four-year-old son unharmed. Her husband, Nikunj Goswami, has been named in a complaint filed by her brothers, as Solanki had previously reported harassment and feared for her safety. The couple had been living separately for a year.
