Dense fog and worsening winter conditions severely disrupted life in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, with visibility plunging, notably obscuring the Taj Mahal and reducing pilgrim numbers in Ayodhya. The India Meteorological Department warned that fog would likely persist. Traffic accidents increased, resulting in 25 fatalities across the state. Residents called for measures to mitigate the cold and improve safety.
