The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has accused the Election Commission of removing the names of 58 lakh legitimate voters from electoral rolls to benefit the BJP ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly polls. TMC ministers met with the Chief Electoral Officer, alleging that the EC's actions undermine voting rights and are part of a broader scheme to disenfranchise two crore voters.
