UMEED portal: 5.17 lakh Waqf properties initiated, 2.16 lakh approved

A total of 5.17 lakh Waqf properties were initiated on India's UMEED portal, with 2,16,905 approved by December 6, 2025, as reported by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The initiative aims to enhance transparency and efficiency in Waqf property management. The portal, launched on June 6, 2025, required all properties to be uploaded within six months, adhering to the UMEED Act and Supreme Court directives.
