Goa's water resources minister, Subhash Shirodkar, announced plans to petition the Supreme Court for a joint inspection of the Kalasa Banduri river diversion project. This follows the Mahadayi PRAWAH authority's previous refusal for such an inspection due to ongoing legal disputes. Goa accuses Karnataka of illegally diverting river water, complicating the long-standing conflict over water sharing among the states.
