When we are brought up in homes where the parents were extremely critical of us, we develop a very low sense of self and confidence. "Having a critical parent can be profoundly traumatizing. It’s a relentless emotional assault that chips away at a child’s sense of self-worth and security. The scars of this trauma often persist into adulthood, manifesting as pervasive self-doubt, anxiety, and a perpetual fear of not measuring up," wrote Relationship Coach Kasturi M.
