Lunar New Year, also known as the Chinese New Year or the Spring Festival is being celebrated today, January 22 by more than a billion people from China and Asia. In China, people rang in the Lunar New Year with large family gatherings and crowds visiting temples after the government lifted its strict “zero-COVID” policy, marking the biggest festive celebration since the pandemic began three years ago.
