Hannah Caldas has been banned by World Aquatics until 2030 and will have her results from 2022-2024 scrapped.

World Aquatics has imposed a five-year ban on transgender swimmer Hannah Caldas for refusing mandatory sex tests necessary for competing in the American Masters series. Her results from June 2022 to October 2024 will be deleted. Caldas argues the tests are invasive and not medically necessary, expressing her willingness to sacrifice her swimming career to protect her privacy.
