A tech journalist experienced an alarming Amazon delivery scam that almost fooled him. The scammer knew specific details about his recent cash on delivery order. However, a suspicious SMS revealing the code was for account login, not delivery, raised a red flag. To avoid such scams, verify callers' identities and never share OTPs post-delivery.
