Mamata apologises for Bengal minister’s remarks on Pres’ looks; ‘True beauty…’

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee apologised to President Droupadi Murmu for her minister's remarks on her looks. "We respect the President a lot. She is a very sweet lady. Akhil (Giri) has done something wrong. I condemn the comments," said Mamata Banerjee in a news briefing. After the video clip of his comments went viral, Giri had also apologised for making such a remark. Mamata's statement came amid state-wide protests by the BJP demanding Giri's resignation.
