On cam: Trump mocks Zelensky to his face over US-Russia tunnel idea, says 'no' on Tomahawks? | Putin

President Trump has acknowledged an unusual infrastructure proposal — the construction of a “Putin-Trump tunnel” connecting Russia and Alaska — after a reporter asked about the idea during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “I just heard about that one — a tunnel from Russia to Alaska,” Trump said, calling it “interesting” but declining to back or dismiss it outright. He joked that Zelensky “didn’t like it,” as the Ukrainian president quickly replied, “I’m not happy with this.” The comment, seemingly offhand, immediately sparked global speculation about how such a symbolic project could be interpreted amid Trump’s renewed efforts to broker peace in Ukraine.
