Will PM Modi shake hands with Trump? MEA's big reveal on ASEAN Summit amid US-India tariff war

The Ministry of External Affairs hinted at a potential Modi–Trump meeting during the ASEAN Summit in Malaysia later this month. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that there is still time for the summit, and relevant information will be shared at the appropriate moment — a clear signal that discussions are underway. The ASEAN Summit, scheduled from October 26–28 in Kuala Lumpur, could mark the first Modi–Trump interaction since Washington imposed additional tariffs on Indian imports.
