Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met in Moscow to reaffirm deepening Russia–Iran ties, highlighting regular high-level dialogue and growing strategic coordination. Lavrov said the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement marks a milestone, setting priorities for cooperation over the next 20 years. Both sides stressed close alignment on regional and international issues, including the Iranian nuclear programme, the Middle East and Palestine. Araghchi praised Moscow’s support for Iran and condemned US and Israeli actions, underscoring that relations between the two countries are becoming stronger, broader and more consistent.
