Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday he hopes for a “constructive discussion” with U.S. President Donald Trump on security guarantees, stressing they must accompany any move to end the war. Speaking after a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in Halifax, Zelenskyy said Ukraine must be confident Russia will not resume aggression. Zelenskyy is expected to meet Trump in Florida on Sunday, as part of a broader U.S.-led diplomatic effort to end the nearly four-year Russia-Ukraine war, amid sharply conflicting demands from Moscow and Kyiv.
