DragonFire is used to hit drones, missiles and other airborne targets using a concentrated beam to focus.

DragonFire, the UK's first high-power laser defense system, targets drones and missiles with precision, capable of hitting a £1 coin from a kilometer away for just £10 per shot. Developed by MBDA, QinetiQ, and Leonardo, it will be delivered to the Royal Navy by 2027, creating 590 jobs. Recent trials demonstrated its effectiveness against high-speed drones in Scotland.
