A Canadian court has denied Gurpreet Singh's motion to stay his removal from Canada, citing “insufficient objective and compelling evidence.” Singh, a member of the secessionist group Sikhs for Justice, claimed he would face persecution in India due to his activism. In 2023, CBSA removed a record number of Indian nationals, with 2,831 removals this year alone.
