The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for an attack in Syria that killed four security personnel, according to SITE Intelligence Group. The assault occurred on the Maaret al-Numan road, targeting a patrol. IS has reduced attacks since its territorial defeat in 2019, but recent violence has resurfaced amid ongoing conflicts in the region.
