Two National Guard soldiers, Andrew Wolfe and Sarah Beckstrom, were critically injured in a shooting near the White House on November 26 by suspected shooter Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who faces assault and potential murder charges. Both soldiers had recently joined a task force and were on duty, with Beckstrom volunteering for Thanksgiving. Their condition remains serious.
