Claudio Manuel Nueves Valente, a 48-year-old Portuguese national, is identified as the suspect in the December 13 Brown University shooting, which resulted in two deaths and nine injuries. Valente was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot in Salem. He previously attended Brown’s physics program and had a connection to MIT professor Nuno Loureiro, who was shot in his home.
