Iowa superintendent detained by ICE falsely claimed he was a US citizen, indictment says

Ian Roberts, former superintendent of Iowa's largest school district, has been indicted for falsely claiming U.S. citizenship to gain employment. Charged with making false statements and illegal possession of firearms, Roberts was detained by ICE after fleeing from agents. The Des Moines school district is now facing repercussions and has filed a lawsuit against the consulting firm involved in his hiring.
