Nick Fuentes corners Candace Owens over TPUSA Charlie Kirk livestream appearance; ‘owe it to your fans’
Candace Owens and TPUSA could not reach common ground over the livestream scheduling where leadership will address allegations over Charlie Kirk's death.
Far-right activist Nick Fuentes has waded into the Candace Owens-Turning Point USA row. Fuentes, on X, tried to corner Owens regarding attending the livestream where TPUSA leadership is expected to address allegations in Charlie Kirk's murder.
Kirk, 31, and the founder of TPUSA, was shot and killed and on September 10 when attending an event at the Utah Valley University. In the wake of the shooting, Owens has had plenty of conspiracy theories, including alleging TPUSA's role. Her latest one has been to accuse their top leadership of ‘betraying’ Kirk. Notably, Owens has not provided any proof to this end.

Blake Neff of TPUSA then extended a challenge to her to attend the livestream where they would release statements on Owens' allegations. The invite was meant to allow Owens to clear the air. Owens had initially expressed a great deal of enthusiasm, and said it was a ‘win’ for her and she was ready to meet at any time and place. However, Owens later claimed that TPUSA had gone and set the livestream time and date without consulting her.
Some of Owens' detractors have pointed out how she herself asked TPUSA to pick the time and place, but others have pointed out that Owens would have only shown this amount of flexibility had she assumed that a virtual meeting would be on the cards. TPUSA members are unwilling to go for a virtual meet, which Owens has said won't be possible for her on the given date and time, because she has her own podcast which goes live then. This apparent flip-flop has drawn Fuentes' ire onto Owens, but she didn't back down from the fight either.
Nick Fuentes, Candace Owens lock horns over event
Fuentes shared Owens' reaction to Neff and wrote on X: “You were invited to TPUSA HQ to press their leadership live and in person about their role in Charlie Kirk’s murder, but you can’t go because of a scheduling conflict? LOL.”
He added, “Isn’t this what you have been pushing for since September? Time to put up or shut up.” Owens clapped back, saying “You spent over a year attacking me on your show. I finally said ‘okay, come on my show tomorrow’ You responded and said Wednesday worked better for your schedule. Stop being a fraud. If I had instead publicly tweeted “Nick refused to debate!”, I would have been disingenuous.”
She shared a screenshot of her alleged conversation with Fuentes.
However, Fuentes was not giving up either, and doubled down on the attack, saying "You said TPUSA could pick the time and place. They did. You’ve been milking your “investigation” for 3 months— now is your opportunity to blow the lid on everything and you’re going to no-show?
Slamming Owens, Fuentes concluded, “What could possibly be the excuse? You owe it to your fans.” Notably, Owens has not backed out of the appearance, and has offered to do it virtually, but TPUSA has demanded that she be present in person at the Phoenix studio that belonged to Kirk.
As things stand, it is unlikely Owens will attend the livestream event.
