The US government has introduced a $5,000 Apprehension Fee for illegal migrants aged 14 and older, applicable nationwide upon arrest, regardless of their immigration status or history. Failure to pay may bar future immigration benefits. Additionally, a daily penalty of nearly $1,000 is imposed on those with deportation orders still residing in the US.
