The Boss mode will help the rear occupant to increase the legroom by moving the front passenger seat from the second row itself.
There will also be BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) compatibility for the rear occupants. In the teasers, the dedicated fixtures are visible. Mahindra is also offering rear curtains to add to the privacy factor. There is also a new two-spoke steering wheel which we have seen on the Born Electric vehicles of the brand. Finally, the new interior theme would give the cabin a more premium appeal.
What else is confirmed?
The exterior design of the XUV 7XO has been teased online. From the teasers, it seems like the updated SUV will take inspiration from the XEV 9S. So, there would be a new set of LED headlamps and new tail lamps. On the sides, there is a new set of alloy wheels.
The SUV is essentially a facelifted version of the XUV700, which has been a huge hit for the manufacturer. The bookings are now open for a token amount of ₹21,000. The launch is slated to happen on January 5th.

What will be the engine options of the XUV 7XO?
Mahindra will not make any mechanical changes to the XUV 7XO. It will continue to come with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Transmission options on offer will be a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. We do hope that Mahindra adds drive modes to the petrol engine so that it can be detuned, which will help customers extract better fuel economy.
