From college dropout to cybercrime kingpin: How a Bengaluru man ran 4,200 bank accounts

A 22-year-old college dropout, Mohammed Uzaif, and his mother, Sabana Abdul Bari, were arrested by Bengaluru police for operating a cybercrime network managing over 4,200 bank accounts linked to online frauds. They allegedly laundered nearly Rs 24 crore and coordinated with a Dubai-based handler. The duo recruited individuals to open accounts for small payments, enabling extensive cybercrime activities across India.
