WPL 2026 is set up as a tight, high-tempo month of women’s T20, running from January 9 to February 5, 2026, across two hubs: Navi Mumbai and Vadodara. The season opens with a marquee clash in Navi Mumbai as defending champions Mumbai Indians meet the Royal Challengers Bengaluru with the first leg (Jan 9-17) packing 11 matches before the league shifts to Vadodara for the remaining 11 fixtures, including the playoffs.
The ladder incentives are simple and brutal: finish first and you book a direct ticket to the final in Vadodara on February 5; finish second or third and you are into the Eliminator on February 3. Vadodara leg starts with Gujarat Giants vs RCB, then a rematch of the 2025 finalists, Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians, before league games run through February 1 and a scheduled breather.
Off the field, the first mega auction in New Delhi has reshaped squads, and the early storyline to watch is UP Warriorz handing the captaincy to Meg Lanning after signing the former Australia skipper at the auction.
