32k PRD jawans to benefit as U.P. govt, Canara bank ink pact
The PRD jawans will get silver cards through which they would be able to avail accidental insurance and which their spouse will also be covered.
Thirty-two thousand Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD) jawans will get accidental insurance worth ₹16 lakh and other financial securities from the Canara Bank. This facility has been possible due to a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the bank and the additional chief secretary, youth welfare, Navneet Sehgal.
The PRD jawans will get silver cards through which they would be able to avail accidental insurance and which their spouse will also be covered.
The jawans will also get separate life insurance of ₹1 lakh, which will be made available to their dependents in case of a normal death, interest free overdraft facilities of up to Rs. 3 lakhs as well as free locker facilities.
Free demat account facilities will also be made available for the purpose of trade sharing. Moreover, cheque book of up to 200 leaves, and debit and credit cards will also be given to the PRD jawans.
