Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

Mumbai Indians (MI)

Sharing the record for the most IPL titles with CSK, Mumbai Indians have clinched the trophy five times (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020). In 2025, Hardik Pandya returned as captain, aiming to rejuvenate the team's fortunes. With stalwarts like Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, complemented by emerging talents such as Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir, MI possesses a balanced and formidable lineup.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

KKR, champions in 2012, 2014 and 2024, enter the 2025 season with high expectations. Under the captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane, the team retained key players like Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. The addition of Anrich Nortje and Quinton de Kock bolsters their squad, aiming to replicate their previous successes.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

Despite being one of the most popular teams, RCB is yet to secure an IPL title, finishing as runners-up in 2009, 2011 and 2016. In 2025, Rajat Patidar takes over the captaincy, with support from veterans like Virat Kohli. Delhi Capitals (DC)

DC, formerly Delhi Daredevils, has yet to win an IPL title but reached the final in 2020. With Axar Patel at the helm in 2025, the team boasts a mix of experience and youth. Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Gujarat Titans (GT)

Debuting in 2022, GT made an immediate impact by winning the title in their inaugural season. With Shubman Gill as captain, the 2025 squad includes stalwarts like Rashid Khan and Mohammed Siraj. The Titans aim to continue their impressive run with a balanced and dynamic team. Gujarat are favourites to qualify to the playoffs and are also serious contenders to lift the title a second time around.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

Entering the league in 2022, LSG has shown promise but is yet to secure a title. In 2025, Rishabh Pant leads the team, bringing his aggressive style to the forefront. The squad features a mix of international stars like Nicholas Pooran and domestic talents such as Ravi Bishnoi, aiming for a breakthrough season.

Punjab Kings (PBKS)

Formerly Kings XI Punjab, PBKS has reached the final once in 2014 but has struggled for consistency. With Shreyas Iyer as the new captain in 2025, the team looks to change its fortunes. Key players include Yuzvendra Chahal, Glenn Maxwell and Arshdeep Singh. PBKS aims to harness their potential and make a strong playoff push.
