Ryan Hurst will play God of War's iconic protagonist Kratos.

Ryan Hurst has been cast as Kratos in Prime Video's adaptation of the popular video game God of War, following his previous role as Thor in God of War Ragnarök. The series will explore Kratos and his son Atreus's journey, with a two-season arc ordered. Ronald D. Moore will serve as showrunner, and no release date has been announced.
