Alexander Wang to Prabal Gurung: Standout beauty looks from NYFW
From hair styled into hats to goth palettes, here are the beauty trends that stole the spotlight at this year’s New York Fashion Week.
Hats off to hair
Who needs a hat when you have one growing out of your head? At Collina Strada’s SS26 show, hair was sculpted into oversized hat-like shapes that stole the spotlight. Paired with playful silhouettes and layering, the looks were theatrical but also wild.
Think pink
Turning faces into a canvas, Area used a wash of pink eyeshadow across eyelids and temples to create a surreal effect. Teamed with sleek hair and playful accessories, the eye look helped bring a more daring and modern aspect.
Gothic edge
Alexander Wang’s show leaned hard into gothic glamour with a sharp and oversized black liner stretching far past the lids. Paired with slicked-back hair and minimalist styling, the liner added an element of fierceness to the overall look.
Glassy glow
Prabal Gurung kept makeup soft and radiant with hints of shimmer and pink blush. The neutral glow and color paired with airy gowns, layers, and slicked hair helped amplify the collection’s elegance and dreamy presence.
