‘Almost nothing…': Swiss ambassador says black money isn't an issue anymore

The Swiss ambassador said that several batches of information exchanges took place between both countries and the issue related to black money isn't an issue anymore.

Swiss ambassador to India Ralf Heckner on Monday said that he “almost heard nothing” on matters related to black money in his last two years of tenure and that the issue was dealt between India and Switzerland through bilateral treaties in 2018. He said that the issue related to black money "isn't an issue anymore.

“I've been Swiss ambassador to India for over two years. I almost heard nothing or hardly anything about black money. Black money issues dealt with by a bilateral treaty between Switzerland and India in 2018 on automatic exchange of bank info between the two countries - both directions,” Heckner was quoted as saying by news agency ANI. He added that several batches of information exchanges took place between both countries and the issue related to black money isn't an issue anymore.
