After Utah horror, Charlie Kirk's remarks on Indians immigrating to US resurface
Charlie Kirk had said that no form of legal immigration other than visas has so displaced American workers as those from India.
Conservative US leader Charlie Kirk, who died on Wednesday after being shot at an event in Utah, had just last week said that America does not need more visas for Indians, adding that the States was "full" and it was time to put "our own people first".

He said, "America does not need more visas for people from India. Perhaps no form of legal immigration has so displaced American workers as those from India. Enough already. We're full. Let's finally put our own people first."

Charlie Kirk was reacting to a Fox News anchor's X post about the US having to grant more visas to Indians if there were any trade deal with New Delhi.

Earlier, the Federal Bureau of Investigation had taken a suspect into custody. However, FBI director Kash Patel later shared an update, saying that the suspect had been released from their custody after an interrogation.
The suspect behind Charlie Kirk's assassination is still on the loose, and an FBI investigation is underway to track down the individual.
