Gaming commissioner appointed, but Goa casino rules still pending: CM Sawant

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that the rules to regulate offshore and onshore casinos under the Goa Public Gambling Act are still pending approval by the law department. Currently, casino operations are managed under the 1976 Act and past notifications. Six casinos have licenses for live gaming, with ongoing enforcement against illegal activities.
