The Rajya Sabha did not admit the removal motion against Allahabad high court judge, Justice Yashwant Varma, citing it as “defective.” The Lok Sabha speaker then initiated inquiry proceedings. This follows the discovery of cash at Varma's residence last year, leading to a probe. The court is examining the legality of the process amidst conflicting admissions from both Houses.
